The markka (mk) [1] is the in-game currency used to purchase various items and services. Markka will not be transferred from My Summer Car to balance the game. [2] The player can get physical markka from the ATM. [3] What it will be used for is unknown, but it could be a way to deposit cash to the player's wallet from the salary or used as a separate item for spending purposes.
The developer states that the starting money probably needs to be higher then 3,000 markka (the amount given in My Summer Car), so the player can get a smoother start. [4]
Trivia[]
- The Finnish markka was the currency of Finland from 1860 to 2002, when it was replaced by the Euro. At the time of switching to the Euro, 1 mk was worth roughly 0.168 € or $0.180 while 1€ is worth about 5.9 mk.
